As the council's Regeneration portfolio holder he helped secure investment in Skelmersdale, Ormskirk and Burscough's centres. While Finance Portfolio Holder he reduced the real level of council tax and expanded services, while in housing he approved major investments to 1 in 4 council house properties and spearheaded the major estate revival at Firbeck while giving extra priority for council housing to people who work and volunteer.
Find out more about Adrian here. Adrian has long advocated a clear, transparent approach to expenses. He publishes his expenses on this website - see here for further details. He has donated a proportion of his councillor allowance to charity since 2004.
Adrian continues to campaign hard on a number of issues. For Adrian's latest news see the sidebar to the right
or visit the news section or the Our West Lancashire website. He also occasonally blogs when the urge takes him and his latest posts can be read via the panel to the right.
Adrian spearheaded the successful public opposition to Labour’s hugely
unpopular Local Plan proposals to build 16,000 houses—mostly in our Green Belt—including between Altys Lane and St Helens Road (pictured here). After 4 public meetings organised by Adrian and following a record number of
objections from the public the proposals were dropped. He was responsible for initiating the Freedom of the Borough for the Duke of Lancaster's
Regiment. He promotes Ormskirk as a market town and West Lancashire as a great place to live. He is a strong supporter of the Motorfest and as finance portfolio
holder provided funds for massive improvements at Coronation Park and for a new children's play area in Westhead. He led the campign in 2015, to prevent the Labour council from
planning a closure of Park Pool in Ormskirk. Please use the links above to explore the site and use the contact page to tell Adrian your views or sign up to his newsletter.
