£7000 raised as Three Peaks Challenge appeal closes

Adrian thanks everyone who donated so generously to the Three Peaks Challenge fundraiser for the Birchwood Centre. The appeal was closed when the total reached £7000, just before Christmas, easily exceeding the £5000 target.

Last July, Adrian along with six young people from the Birchwood Centre, a charity based in Skelmersdale for homeless young people in crisis scaled Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in a non-stop challenge to raise funds to help other local homeless young people. The photo shows the team celebrating on the summit of Ben Nevis and then again at the completion of the Challenge at the foot of Snowdon around 10pm.

Adrian said, "The Challenge had three purposes: to raise funds for the Centre; to heighten awareness of the Centre's work and to provide an inspirational personal development experience for the young people involved. On all counts, I feel we succeeded. The day and night were memorable - to scale 1/3rd the height of Everest non-stop was certainly a Challenge!"

Adrian is a trustee of the Birchwood Centre charity and if you would like to find out more about the Centre's work then take a look at their website here The Birchwood Centre.
